Bank on track - Sorry Folks!
Look out for grandfathers next entry on the 1st Sept
Sept 2014
My apologies cancer has inconveniently gone and got in the way. I do however, hope to pick up on this project again soon and indeed visit grandfathers grave in Holland.
Meanwhile you can follow my myeloma blog at www.mymyelomajourney.wordpress.uk
The reason I am writing this Blog is that I really appreciate the efforts my grandfather went to keep such a meticulous record of the events of the time. I feel very proud of him and eternally grateful for the price he and others paid for our freedom.
I intend to add entries as they appear dated in his diary so look out for his first entry following the summary on January 1st
Wing Commander W.L. Payne took over the squdron. W/C King actually left a few days later. I took six day's leave from the 25th, and went to Salisbury. Took Alexander to enlist as driver in the R.A.S.C. on Monday.
